Learning the Spanish alphabet requires only learning three more letter than are found in the English alphabet. These include ch (che), ll (elle) and ? (e?e). The fit into the alphabet in an order that also makes sense, following the letter from the English alphabet that starts with the same similar letter. Here is the order they appear in:

a,b,c,ch,d,e,f,g,h,I,j,k,l,ll,m,n,o,p,q,r,s,t,u,v,w,x,y,z.

Letters Not A Part of the Alphabet

There is some controversy, believe it or not over a couple of the letters that come from other languages of similar origin. This lies with the letters “w” and “k.” There are not any Spanish words that contain these letters, unless they were added to the language from some foreign translation. In addition the letter “rr” not in our list above is used in some versions of the Spanish alphabet. It is used to make a stronger “r” sound, usually in the case where the “r” is drawn out in a rolling sound.

Putting Things in ABC Order

A Spanish dictionary may add more confusion to the inclusion of some letters of this language’s alphabet. For example, older edition dictionaries might list all the words containing “ch” after all “c” words. In newer versions, the words containing “ch” go in alphabetical order just like in English. The opposite is true when it comes to “n” and “?.” In this case “?” comes after “n.” This whole change took place as recently as 1994.

Not officially a part of the Spanish alphabet, there are many other “letters” created by the addition of accents. Many vowels such as o, e, or u have accents added which change the pronunciation and also the meaning. Many other languages treat accented letters as separate letters and add them to their alphabets. This is not true of Spanish.

What Spanish Letters Sound Like

English letters are not given names and neither are Spanish letters. However, when you say the letter it has a pronunciation all its own that could be thought of as its name. The following is the Spanish alphabet with a pronunciation guide. Remember, this is not a phonetic pronunciation, even though some of the English letters will have a similar sound. And of course, you need to take into account the Spanish accent.

A: a
B: be
C: ce
CH: che
D: de
E: e
F: efe
G: ge
H: hache
I: i
J: jota
K: ka
L: ele
LL: elle
M: eme
N: ene
Ñ: eñe
O: o
P: pe
Q: cu
R: ere
S: ese
T: te
U: u
V: ve
W: doble u
X: equis
Y: i griega
Z: zeta

If you speak English (and that’s a good assumptions since you are reading this in English) then you already know many Spanish words. Spanish and English have the same basis as all Romance languages. The spelling may be different such as between the words baby in English and bebe in Spanish but the pronunciation is very close, differing only in the accent given the words.

Once you have mastered the sounds of each letter it is easy to begin learning Spanish. You’ll be prepared for your next vacation to Spain, or at the very least, be able to help your kids with their homework!

The Spanish people are warm and welcoming to American or other visitors. They will be flattered that you are making an effort to communicate with them in Spanish, but in tourist or cosmopolitan areas, you will find everyone also speaks fluent English. Don’t let that discourage you. Keep practicing you Spanish for your next visit to Spain.

The American flag is a symbol of freedom and sacrifice for United States citizens. Although we typically picture cloth versions of this national emblem, it can be anything that the observer acknowledges. Therefore, a Christmas tree adorned in red, white, and blue could be considered an American flag. Examples can be made from any material or placed on any object. The tragic events of September 11th resurrected a since of patriotism within the United States. The result has been a desire to display the American flag in front of homes, office buildings, and everywhere possible.

The historic tale of Betsy Ross painstakingly sewing the first American flag is widely known. However, many of the details of that extraordinary event, along with the circumstances leading up to it have been overlooked. To begin with, the colonies had adopted several flags as a representation of their new American beliefs. The “Don’t Tread on Me” version incorporated red and white stripes with a snake across it. A popular option used by George Washington, which signified the unification of the colonies, was similar to the British emblem. Washington raised this particular version at Prospect Hill. The Loyalists misinterpreted the emblem as a sign of defeat.

The confusion that ensued prompted General George Washington, Colonel George Ross, and Robert Morris, along with other key members of the Congressional Committee, to enlist the aid of Mrs. Ross. At the time Betsy Ross was running an upholstery business. She had completed several assignments for General Washington, and he was familiar with her work, as well as being a personal friend. They provided her with a crude drawing of the appointed American flag and commissioned her to complete the work. She began the assignment in early May and completed the job in late May or early June.

The American flag was raised on July 4, 1776 to commemorate the birth of a new nation. Independence Day offers all United States citizens an opportunity to remember the hardships that our forefathers endured to gain our freedom. The American flag has been an inspiration to citizens of the United States, since its inception. Francis Scott Key composed our national anthem, The Star Spangled Banner, after his relief at seeing the American flag flying at dawn following a brutal battle, during the War of 1812. The symbolic raising of this national symbol has marked other moments in United States history. Soldier’s lifted the “Colors” to signify victory and determination after the Battle of Iwo Jima; in the same way, the first astronauts to walk on the moon placed “Old Glory” within its powdery surface.

This type of patriotism waned in the late 20th century, but was brought back after tragedy gripped our nation on September 11, 2001. American flags are becoming a hot commodity and displaying “Old Glory” should be conducted with dignity. After that horrific day, citizens rose up and began displaying “Old Glory” throughout the land. A desire to perpetuate this newfound pride meant individuals wanted to keep the display up 24 hours a day. In order to maintain respect, the Colors must be properly illuminated.

Our country has seen dark days within its history and recent past, however the undying resolve of its citizens continues to surprise its foes. The American flag stands for the strength and commitment that is within all the country’s citizens.

Choosing the right school can make all the difference in your nursing career. Knowledgeable, supportive instructors are the key to any good nursing education, and the stronger a school is in the department you want to specialize in, the easier it will be for you to pursue the nursing field of your dreams. If you’re not sure where to specialize yet, it’s generally better to choose a larger school that will give you exposure to many different fields—and is likely to have a strong department in the field you choose. Following is a list of seven of the most well-respected nursing schools in America.

University of Washington School of Nursing. Consistently ranked the top nursing school in the country, the University of Washington School of Nursing has the largest number of fellows in the American Academy of Nursing, which is a distinct honor. It also has global partnerships and opportunities for nurses to study and work abroad, a cutting-edge research program, and its graduates are among the top qualified graduates in their fields.

UCSF School of Nursing. Located at the University of California—San Francisco, this nursing school places particular emphasis on community outreach. This school also has a strong research program. It received the most research funding from the National Institutes of Health for two years in a row, in 2003 and 2004.

University of Texas School of Nursing. Ranked among the top 10% of graduate schools in U.S. News and World Report’s 2005 survey, the University of Texas School of Nursing continues to get high marks. According to the school, they have one of the most diverse populations of students in any U.S. nursing school—as well as high student achievement and extraordinary faculty dedication.

University of Virginia School of Nursing. Another top-10% school in the U.S. News and World Report, this school’s ratings have gone up consistently every year. Within the school, the Psychiatric/Mental Health and Adult/Medical-Surgical specialties were given particularly high ranks.

University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Nursing. This program was ranked 19th in the country in the U.S. News and World Report for the 2005-2006 year. High-ranking specialties include internal medicine, women’s health, geriatrics and pediatrics, and AIDS care, which was ranked 4th in the nation.

University of Pennsylvania School of Nursing. Located in Philadelphia, this school was founded in 1740 by Ben Franklin and continues to be one of the nation’s top nursing schools. It boasts a low student-to-faculty ratio, lifelong free career support to graduates, and world-class faculty. The school’s website states that 95% of its nursing students pass the boards on the first try.

University of Michigan—Ann Arbor School of Nursing. Another consistently top-ranked school, the University of Michigan’s nursing school has one of the most extensive libraries in the country. It’s located next to the University of Michigan Medical Health Center, with a strong emphasis on clinical application.

Nursing is an exciting, challenging, and rewarding career. The right school can launch you into a successful nursing career, and give you the support you need to succeed along the way. There are thousands of great nursing schools in America—and these seven are among the best of the best.

There are ever so many types of homeschooling curriculums attainable to dads and moms electing to homeschool their young people. Electing a course of study is significant in the process towards Bobby and Mary’s scholastic adventure at home. Depending on the general studies, the instructing idea may be dramatically different than another form of homeschool study offered. Remember this law, all curriculums are not created equal. Regardless, since you are determined to homeschool your child, you get to make the decision, where as in public schools, you are at the mercy of the state.

Alpha Omega offers a revered core curriculum for those moms who educate their children in their home sweet home. Likewise, quite a few Christianly schools have chosen Alpha Omega as their curriculum of choice. It’s significant that you one hundred percent latch on to the goals of Alpha Omega as it trickles down into your children’s grade levels of study. Since Alpha Omega is based on the Bible, their ethics are fairly the same to what you see in some Christly churches.

Here are the principles of the Alpha Omega Publications House:

* We believe that the Old and Recent Testaments are the provoked Word of Jehova, revealing the three Bodies of the Godhead: Father, Son and the Holy Spirit.

* We believe in the incarnation and virgin outset of our Jehova and Savior Jesus Christ as verifiable Lord and true man.

* We believe that fellow was suited in The father’s vision but is separated from Jehova by sin.

* We believe that man is redeemed by grace through devotion in Christ’s vicarious atonement for sins, the shedding of His blood on the Cross.

* We believe that the gift of eternal affairs is accessible to absolutely men, that those who receive Christ by resolution are regenerated by the Holy Spirit and thereby settle into youth of The father.

* We believe in the bodily resurrection of Christ, His imminent return and the resurrection of His society.

It’s eminent that you really ask for time to review these standards and ensure you agree with this in advance to deciding what your child’s course of study should be and look like. Remember that you can always seek out advice of homeschooling groups in your region as a good sounding board to see if others are happy with the Alpha Omega approach. Of course, the World Wide Web is fully capable of giving you reviews of this homeschooling study and will be able to offer you with even greater testimonials from those parents who appreciate and support their youth’s education with the Alpha Omega Publication clan.

Alopecia is described as a condition in which the immune system eradicates the hair follicles. Alopecia can lead to hair loss on the scalp and elsewhere on the body. In most cases, the hair is lost in small, quarter-sized amounts and usually does not exceed the amount of a few patches. In more extreme cases, Alopecia can progress to cause complete hair loss of the scalp and other areas of the body. White blood cells in the immune system rapidly attack cells in hair follicles that make the hair grow. These affected cells become small and slow down hair production.

A fortunate aspect of this process is that the stem cells that constantly provide hair follicles with new cells are not targeted, so the potential to re-grow hair always exists. Scientists believe that people may be genetically predisposed to this condition and is caused by a possible virus or something in the immediate environment.

Living with Alopecia can be very difficult and socially intimidating, but www.wigshop.com is both educated and concerned for their consumers and offer an extensive selection of wigs and accessories. Wigshop.com has links and references to books and resources that offer empathetic and informative information to those suffering through hair loss. Their site conveniently has a section specifically devoted to wigs due to medical hair loss.

Wigshop.com realizes that those who suffer from Alopecia may not be in need of a complete wig, but pieces and extensions to cover certain areas of hair loss. There are pieces specially crafted to fit any area of the head. One can choose from either the 100% natural hairpieces or synthetic fiber for shake and go ease. Whether the coverage you need is top, front, or a combination of both- you will feel confident about how great you look. These hair integration pieces are a simple and luxurious way to adding body, volume, and/or highlights to your hair.

Some may be concerned about how comfortable and safe their wig from the Wigshop.com can be. Innovations in the business have led to wigs becoming even lighter and comfortable than ever before. Thinner fabrics and lighter cap construction allows for a greater circulation and feel. Other features such as velvet bands can contribute to softness and the versatility in sizes and shapes ensures that anyone’s wig will feel and fit perfectly.

Other concerns have spawned from those with medical conditions which contribute to hair loss and who worry about the wig further worsening their condition. This is simply not something to be of concern, but quite the opposite. Wearing a wig will not harm the scalp nor inhibit the growth of natural hair.

Wearing a wig promotes better mental health and protects the scalp from sun and other damaging exterior factors. Wigshop.com realizes that its customers buy wigs to make them selves feel and look better and it is their mission that the consumer continues to do so.

Many of dieters out there are trying this kind of diet. What is it, actually? What are the advantages and disadvantages? How to do it?

Let me help you get all the answers in the following detailed explanations about raw food diet before you decide to apply it:

• What is Raw Food Diet?

Raw food diet is a diet composed mainly or entirely of raw and living foods. These foods include mostly raw vegan food, such as fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

The raw foodists can consume any foods which have not been cooked, frozen, or treated with chemical preservatives.

There are 3 types of raw foodists:

1. Living foodists, who eat a diet made up of plant food in active form, such as sprouted nuts and seeds.
2. Juicarians, who eat a diet made up entirely of juices.
3. Raw foodists who are not vegetarians, and therefore eat raw meats and unpasteurized milk

• How to Start a Raw Food Diet?

Going on a raw food diet can be similar to detoxifying your body, and there can be some side effects. So when considering the raw food diet, you should start slowly, with one or more raw meals per day, and one or more meals with a raw main dish and a small cooked side dish. This can be easier on your body as well as your habits.

• Where to Find the Foods?

The best kind of raw food is organic food. Organic foods are now available in a wide variety of products, not just fruits but even cookies.

While organic foods can be more expensive then regular foods, they can also be more convenient, as there are many companies starting in cities that will actually deliver organic fruits and vegetables to your front door.

• What Are The Advantages?

Many raw foodists choose the diet because they believe that cooking, freezing or otherwise processing foods can destroy vitamins, bacteria, and enzymes. They also believe that cooking food makes food harder to digest, partially due to destroying enzymes which are acting as catalysts in the digestion of food.

Raw foods contain less chemicals and preservatives, which are not natural in foods. Raw food is also less toxic and more easily digested, while containing more vitamins and minerals than processed foods.

The raw foodists also believe that the diet can improve health, lower risk of heart disease (because of a diet low in trans-fats), improve digestion, improve skin appearance, and increase the energy levels.

• What Are The Disadvantages?

An important concern in a raw food diet is the lack of animal proteins. One needs to get all the essential amino acids.

To fulfill all the nutrition and avoid deficiencies in protein and vitamin B12, a raw foodist might need some nutritional supplements.

So, after you find out all you need to know about raw food diet, are you ready to start one now?

Information particularly aimed at children needs special methods in order for the educational purpose to be successful and for the learning goals to be achieved. There is a whole range of learn French words for kids activities you may wish to consider whether you are a teacher or a parent willing to help his / her child acquire second language knowledge. There are fun songs, games, pen pals for kids that already speak French as well as for those who need to learn it.

Here are some very simple practice ideas that can help your kids learn French words more easily. First of all, the use of flash cards is rule number one among the ways to learn French words for kids. Then you can ask kids to name the objects in the room or even count them, if it be the case, thus also being able to teach them the numbers. Remember that learning methods for French as for any other languages need to be adapted to the group age and the knowledge level.

The best way to make kids learn French words is to make them forget that they are actually learning. Playing is the best way to learn French words for kids. Repeating new vocabulary items in pronunciation exercises often causes boredom and lack of interest on the part of children. This is why a teacher should turn to playing and the use of multimedia devices to help the little students acquire the French language skills naturally.

You will be surprised to find out how easily it is for a child to learn a foreign language. Thus, learn French words for kids methods don’t need to be extremely complex. On the contrary, they need to be simple, but fun. As they play and use a new language, the children internalize it and learn it actively. A good teacher knows that interaction, variation and constant dynamism are the golden rules of teaching a foreign language.

If you are a teacher or a parent then you should offer your students or children the opportunity to acquire second language skills without an effort. Audio devices, flash cards and videos are some of the best means to learn French words for kids. Their immense success comes not only from their being appealing to the children, but especially from the impact they have on the child’s intellect.

We know that if the atmosphere did not exist, the earth would go without weather. Imagine for a moment for argument’s sake that the earth has an atmosphere indeed, as it is today, though the sun is absent. Absence of sun would mean absence of weather and that is not only because a frozen solid form the atmosphere will take. Actually the interaction between heat of the sun and our atmosphere builds air masses, while circulation patterns appear due to that. Pressure differences motivate air movements and wind is the end result of the same.

As in case of other materials, the air in the earth’s atmosphere is built of molecules that move about incessantly. Greater is the air pressure where denser concentration of molecules is found. Since air molecules are governed by gravity, the greatest air pressure is found nearest the earth’s surface and with altitude that decreases. The atmospheric pressure at sea level is about 14 and a half pounds on each square inch about which are normally not much conscious.

If air pressure is measured in hectopascals or millibars, normal air pressure ranges from 980 to 1040 hectopascals while on local conditions that is very much dependent.

At different speeds these molecules incessantly move while the speeds depend on temperature, lower the temperature slower is the peed and for higher temperature faster is the speed. The molecules speed up as a mass of air is heated and that results in expansion of air. The density of the molecules decreases as expansion takes place and thereby the air mass becomes lighter. The air mass that has become lighter starts rising now. Convection is the term for the entire process.

All through the world convection is going on constantly in the atmosphere. However neither regular nor uniform is the process. It depends on many local factors whether convection will take place, and if it does at all, how much that will be.

As air rises it cools. Therefore in due course the rising warm air masses get cooled down and to the ground that its starts sinking back. With the rise of air, low pressure results. High pressure is the result where it is sinking. As equilibrium is the goal of atmosphere, air moves from high pressure areas to low pressure ones. Wind is this very movement of air. More the difference between the high pressure and low pressure zones, more forceful winds would be the result.

An elliptical orbit the earth or the third rock from the sun follows and to complete that the time it takes is one year. The time to complete one orbit marks stretch of the earth’s year. Since elliptical is the earth’s orbit, in certain parts of the year it really comes closer to the sun. However that does not cause seasons even though more solar heat the earth receives then.

The earth’s movement is not limited to its travel through space in its own orbit, but it spins also on its axis like a top. In every 24-hour one spin it completes. Alteration between day and night is caused by the earth’s rotation. Weather conditions differ between day and night as is reflected in high and low temperatures and the effect of that is felt on weather patterns too.

On its axis the planet earth is tilted about 23 degrees and that causes really the change of seasons. Due to tilting different parts of the earth come closer to the sun as around the sun the earth travels in its orbit. Therefore during certain parts of the year different parts of the earth receive different amounts of heat.

In December the Northern Hemisphere receives less light since the North Pole is tilted away from the sun then. Thus the days become shorter there while the temperatures go down.

But as the earth moves on its orbit, North Pole comes close to the sun due to earth’s tilt. Till June 21 it continues to come closer to the sun and then the summer reaches its maximum. On that very day the sun is just above the Tropic of Cancer. Around the sun the earth continues to move until December 21 when the winter reaches its peak and the cycle is complete.

Just opposite are the seasons in the Southern Hemisphere even though the same cycle it experiences. In December the Southern Hemisphere is the closest to the sun and therefore it is summertime there. Quite logically June21 is the date marked for winter peak in the Southern Hemisphere.

The middle and high latitudes only, i.e., above 23.5 degrees north and below 23.5 degrees south, enjoy four seasons precisely. Normally for the tropics only wet and dry seasons are the two seasonal variations.

For most of us who have gone through the hallowed halls of learning a.k.a. the busy and sometimes bumpy corridors of a private or public school, home schooling may be a curious and bizarre choice. The idea of not being able to have classmates and interact with them during class or recess or not being able to participate in school organizations like sports and the glee club gives the impression that you are missing out on a lot of great things and experiences.

As a famous book title says “All I really need to know I learned in kindergarten”. You might as well accept that you may have failed to take up these lessons as there is no such thing as kindergarten when you are home schooled all alone. But then again, there are reasons why children are home schooled.

The term home schooling generally refers to teaching and instruction done at home but under the regulation and administration of school associations also known as umbrella schools or correspondence schools. The home school movement was roused by John Caldwell Holt, a teacher, when he published “How Children Fail.” The book raised controversy as it criticized school instruction stressing that the failure of children to learn was not due to the amount of effort and determination to learn but on the setting provided by the schools.

Mr. Holt believed that the home is the most appropriate base where the child can explore and learn where there is no interference, no regulation and no control. This view was shared by an education professional couple, Raymond and Dorothy Moore. The Moores advocated that children from 8 to 12 years old can learn more from home than at schools as there is an added advantage of the strengthening of the bonds and emotional development between the parent and the child during these formative years.

On some account, home schooling is typically an alternative that some parents opt to have for their children with the wish that the latter may dwell in a learning environment different from that of public or private schools. This does not seem too unreasonable considering the situation of some of our schools nowadays.

In this day and age, it is not surprising that we hear news of school bullies hitting on the timid and meek kid or of teen cliques who discriminate at those who do not belong to their group to the point of embarrassing them in front of people scaring them for life. These horror stories could haunt any parent who only wants the best for their child and who would anticipate that they never get a chance to live through these kind of experiences.

Some parents choose home schooling for practical reasons. It is apparent that enrolling in schools is expensive. One need not only consider the tuition fees but there is the concern on the costs of books, of school materials, of projects, of field trips, and even the bus fares and the lunch money. School expenses could take a toll on some underprivileged families. A number of school regulations also preempt kids to go to a regular school. For this reason, home schooling is the fall back option.

Online education has become very popular for many students. It can allow people to obtain a certificate, diploma or even a degree at their own convenience. Yet, despite this many will still not be able to take advantage of it. Why? It’s because most online educational programs are very expensive. Even a certificate can cost you hundreds of dollars. And degrees or diplomas will cost you thousands. This is not good for individuals who need career training yet have lower budgets. However, hope is not lost since there are many companies offering free online training for various occupational skills.

Why would a company offer free online training to Internet surfers? The answer to this question depends on the company’s motives. For example, http://Freeskills.com offers a membership program where visitors get access to hundreds of their training tutorials. They offer a temporary type of free online training to allow people to try their service before actually buying. Other companies, (such as http://E-learningcenter.com), offer free online training for e-mail marketing purposes. In order to have access to their free online training programs, you must provide your name and email address. This subscribes you to their newsletter, which will advertise products or services that may be of interest to you. Then there are the companies or individuals who make free online training content for their websites. They get their revenue from pay-per-click networks they may be a part of. The hope is that by reading their engaging content, you will be on the site long enough to click on one of their ads, allowing them to earn a commission.

Depending on the type of free online training program you decide to use, you may even get a certificate showing you successfully completed your training. This is the case with http://Freeskills.com, though keep in mind their free online training is temporary, (as you will have to pay $149 a year for long-term access). If you are fortunate enough to be able to get a certificate from a free online training program, make sure to make mention of it on your resume under a ‘Certifications’ section. If not you can still make mention of the knowledge you gained from free online training, though you will have to put it in the ‘Skills’ or ‘Qualifications’ section.

To find free online training programs, it’s best if you type in the skill you’re looking to learn plus the phrase “free online training” into a search engine. Be aware that some sites claiming to offer free online training programs may only have a tutorial that is one or two pages. While this may still help you, it’s best if you can get something more extensive. Format-wise free online training can come in a separate interactive program, a PDF file or a regular web page. Free online training that is more thorough will be given through a separate program, (which usually can be downloaded from the company’s website).

In conclusion, if you do not have the money to invest in a normal online course, consider taking advantage of a free online training program. Sure, it may not be as impressive as a certificate, diploma or degree from an accredited institution, but it can still serve as an excellent resume builder.
